A new study show that middle-aged adults and older who drank two cups of water before each meal and ate fewer calories lost more weight compared with those that not drinking any glass of water.

The researchers divided people into two groups of obese and overweight that included women and men between 55 and 75 years old.  One group was told that they had to follow a diet low in fat and calories, and the second group follow the same diet and would have to drink two glasses of water before breakfast, lunch and dinner.

After 12 weeks, the first group drank two glasses of water before meals lost 15.5 pounds. The second group that no drank any cup of water losing 11 pounds. The difference was nearly 30 percent between these two groups.

The researchers had the idea  of their previous research for effective weight loss programs to show that the people before middle age and older between 75 and 90 years old who drank water before lunch ate fewer calories.

We do not know, however, if drinking water is compensated by eating more during the day.

“Drink clean water is a very simple strategy of effective weight loss programs that can be helpful for people want to lose weight. We are not saying,” Drink more water and body fat disappears. It is not magic, but for people try to lose weight and follow a low calorie diet is something we can do as part of effective weight loss programs.

The most difficult problem is to keep the weight off in long-term. After 12 weeks the weight has increased.
